They say turquoise symbolizes creativity, serenity and balance — those are definitely some qualities I need in my life. That’s why I was thrilled when my pals at JTV reached out about a collaboration around their gorgeous turquoise pieces.
Turquoise isn’t a stone I have worn much in the past, although I’m not sure why; it can be absolutely stunning! I fell in love with the five pieces JTV sent my way. I love pairing them together with other turquoise pieces (as you’ll see in this post), but also mixing and matching them with other accessories. Be on the lookout for these pieces to appear in posts throughout the spring and summer.
For my first look, I paired three pieces from the Tehya Oyama Turquoise™ line: Pear Shape Kingman Turquoise 18k Yellow Gold over Brass Dangle Earrings, Pear Shape Kingman Turquoise Doublet 18k Gold over Silver Pendant and Blue and Green Slice Kingman Turquoise 18k Gold over Silver Bracelet. This set looks amazing together, but each piece also holds its own individually!
When it came to styling, I wanted to create an outfit that really let the jewelry stand out. This white long-sleeved lace dress turned out to be the perfect canvas, don’t you think?
Fun fact: Did you know it takes millions of years and the right conditions for turquoise to be formed? Copper gives turquoise its range of blue hues, while iron is responsible for its green colors.
For the next outfit, I decided to go much more casual, pairing this Round Blue Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Silver Bracelet and Fancy Cut Cabochon Blue Turquoise Solitaire Sterling Silver Ring with jeans, a high-neck tank and a sheer kimono.
The jewelry really dressed up an otherwise simple look. And I love how the bracelet adjusts to any wrist size; it’s perfect for those of us that have trouble finding bracelets to fit our tiny wrists!
Long story short: I’m officially sold on turquoise thanks to JTV. How are you rocking turquoise this spring?
