If you follow my travel posts, you may have noticed Michael and I are big Airbnb users (click that link for $20 off your first stay). While we’ll occasionally go the more traditional hotel route, we prefer the flexibility, comfort and privacy of renting a whole house on Airbnb. And bonus: it also often enables us to bring our fur-babies, as long as the location is roadtrip-able from Phoenix.
Because of our proximity to California, the state as a whole is always on our list of weekend getaway locations, so we keep a full wishlist of locations we may visit and homes we may stay in when we go. Here are 10 of our favorites in the wishlist currently…
1. Paradise in Ventura
Feel like you never can get quite close enough to the beach? You’ll love this custom 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom home that literally is on the beach. Not pet friendly, but great for a luxurious and relaxing weekend away. Priced at $643/night, this home sleeps 6.
